Vietnam Visa Requirements

For Bangladeshi citizens applying for a Vietnam Visa, the following requirements must be met:

1. Passport – Minimum Seven (7) Months Validity:

• Applicants must have a passport with at least 7 months of remaining validity from the intended date of entry into Vietnam.
• This ensures that the passport is valid throughout the duration of the stay and for the mandatory period after exiting the country.
• The passport must also have at least two blank pages for visa stamps.

2. Return Air Ticket:

• Proof of a confirmed return air ticket is required to show that the traveler has planned their exit from Vietnam before their visa expires.
• This document indicates that the applicant does not intend to overstay in the country and will leave after the visit.

3. Visiting Card:

• A visiting card or business card is often requested for travelers visiting Vietnam for business purposes. This helps to identify their professional status and the nature of their visit.
• If the applicant is visiting for non-business purposes (e.g., tourism or family visit), this requirement may not apply, but it’s important to check with the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate.

These are the basic requirements; additional documents such as visa application forms, photographs, visa fees, and other supporting documents may be necessary depending on the type of visa (tourist, business, or other categories). 

Accommodation

The package includes 4 nights’ accommodation in carefully selected hotels with double or twin-sharing rooms, providing comfort and convenience during your stay. Additionally, enjoy a memorable 1-night cruise on Halong Bay, staying in a double or twin-sharing cabin on a non-private boat, where you’ll be surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of limestone cliffs and emerald waters.

Meals

Meals are provided as per the program itinerary. This includes breakfast (B) at your hotel each morning, lunch (L) during day tours, and dinner (D) on select days. A brunch (Br) will be served during your Halong Bay cruise, ensuring you have a fulfilling culinary experience throughout your journey.

Sightseeing and Entrance Fees

All entrance fees and sightseeing activities mentioned in the itinerary are fully covered. This includes visits to key landmarks, cultural sites, and scenic spots, ensuring that you experience the best of Vietnam’s natural beauty and heritage without additional costs.

Boat Trips

You will experience various boat trips as outlined in the itinerary. From the serene rivers of Tam Coc to the world-famous Halong Bay, these boat rides provide a unique and picturesque perspective of Vietnam’s landscapes.

SIC Tours

The package includes Shared-In-Coach (SIC) tours, allowing you to join group tours and meet fellow travelers while exploring Vietnam’s most iconic locations. These shared tours are cost-effective and professionally guided.

Transportation

Throughout your trip, enjoy transportation in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. This includes both private airport transfers and private transfers for designated tours, ensuring ease and convenience. For SIC tours, a shared vehicle will be used.

Shuttle Bus

As mentioned in the itinerary, a shuttle bus will be provided for certain transfers, such as the trip between Hanoi and Halong Bay, allowing you to sit back and relax during long journeys.

Water During Tours

Stay refreshed during your day tours with complimentary water, provided during each tour day to ensure your comfort.

Local English-Speaking Guide

You will be accompanied by a local English-speaking guide in each city, ensuring you have a knowledgeable guide to provide insights into the culture, history, and attractions of each destination. Different guides will be assigned for different cities and tours, ensuring specialized knowledge at each stop. 

Visa to Vietnam

The package does not include the Vietnam visa. Travelers will need to arrange their own visa or apply through the appropriate channels before arriving in Vietnam. Visa fees and application processes will vary depending on your nationality and travel requirements.

Meals Not Mentioned

While many meals are provided, the package excludes any meals not specifically mentioned in the itinerary. This means that certain lunches and dinners, as well as snacks and drinks outside of designated meals, will be at your own expense.

Flights and Airport Tax

The package does not cover international or domestic flights to and within Vietnam. Travelers must arrange their own airfare and handle any related airport taxes. Be sure to book flights that align with the tour's schedule for a smooth experience.

Single Supplement, Hotel Upgrades, and Check-in/Check-out

If you prefer to have a room to yourself, you will need to pay an additional single supplement fee, as the package is based on double/twin sharing. Additionally, any requests for early check-in, late check-out, or hotel/room upgrades are not covered in the package and will incur extra charges if arranged.

Tips, Drinks, Personal Expenses, and Unlisted Services

Gratuities for guides, drivers, and other service staff are not included in the package and should be provided at your discretion. Likewise, personal expenses such as souvenirs, extra drinks, laundry, and any other services not specifically mentioned in the program will be at your own cost.

• Visa: Ensure you have your Vietnam visa approved in advance, depending on the type of entry (single or multiple). Check if you qualify for visa on arrival or e-visa options.
• Currency: The official currency is the Vietnamese Dong (VND). Carry enough cash, but credit cards are also widely accepted in major cities and tourist spots.
• Power Plugs: Vietnam uses Type A, C, and D plugs with a standard voltage of 220V. Make sure to carry a universal adapter if needed.
• Language: Vietnamese is the official language, but English is commonly spoken in tourist areas.

2. Weather and Packing Tips

• Vietnam has a tropical monsoon climate. The north experiences four seasons, while the south has a tropical climate with wet and dry seasons.
• Best time to visit:
  • North Vietnam: October to April for cooler temperatures.
  • South Vietnam: November to March during the dry season.
• Packing tips:
  • Lightweight, breathable clothing for warmer months.
  • Waterproof jackets for the rainy season (May to October in the south).
  • Comfortable walking shoes for exploring.
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect against UV rays.

3. Local Transport

• Taxis: Widely available, but make sure the meter is running or negotiate a fare in advance. Popular taxi services include Vinasun and Mai Linh.
• Motorbike Taxis: Common and convenient for short distances, but ensure you wear a helmet.
• Buses: Affordable and available in most cities. Intercity buses can be booked in advance for long journeys.
• Cyclo: A traditional form of transportation, especially in the older parts of cities like Hanoi.
• Ride-sharing apps: Apps like Grab are widely used for both cars and motorbikes.

4. Cultural Tips

• Greetings: A slight bow or nod is respectful. Shaking hands is also common, but avoid touching someone’s head or pointing feet at others, which is considered disrespectful.
• Dress modestly when visiting temples or religious sites. Cover shoulders and knees to show respect.
• Tipping: Tipping is not mandatory, but rounding up the bill or leaving small tips for good service is appreciated.
• Respect for elders is important in Vietnamese culture, and addressing people with appropriate titles is seen as polite.

5. Safety and Health

• Vaccinations: Make sure you are up-to-date on routine vaccines. Hepatitis A, typhoid, and dengue precautions are also recommended for certain areas.
• Travel Insurance: Essential for covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and lost belongings.
• Street safety: Vietnam is generally safe, but be cautious of pickpocketing in crowded areas. Always keep your belongings secure.
• Water: Avoid drinking tap water. Stick to bottled or purified water to prevent waterborne illnesses.

6. Communication and Connectivity

• SIM cards: Local SIM cards from providers like Viettel, Mobifone, and Vinaphone are affordable and offer great data plans.
• Wi-Fi: Readily available in most hotels, cafes, and restaurants.
• Language barrier: While English is spoken in tourist areas, learning a few basic Vietnamese phrases can be helpful for navigating more rural regions.
• Mobile apps: Install translation apps or offline maps for better navigation and communication.

7. Shopping and Souvenirs

• Vietnam is known for its silk, lacquerware, ceramics, and handicrafts. You can find great deals in markets like Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City or Dong Xuan Market in Hanoi.
• Tailor-made clothing is popular in Hoi An, where you can have outfits custom-made within days.
• Bargaining: Bargaining is common in markets, but always be polite and keep a smile. Start by offering around 50% of the initial price and negotiate from there.

8. Tour Etiquette

• Be punctual when joining group tours to avoid delays.
• Follow your guide's instructions, especially when visiting culturally significant sites or natural reserves.
• Respect wildlife and avoid littering when visiting Vietnam’s natural parks or beaches.
• Photo etiquette: Always ask for permission before photographing locals, especially in rural or sensitive areas.

1. Booking Confirmation

- Deposit Requirement: To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit of 100% of the total tour package cost is required at the time of booking. This deposit secures your reservation and will be applied to your total balance. 

2. Cancellations and Refunds

- Cancellation by Customer: 

  - More than 30 days before the tour start date: The payment is non-refundable, but it may be partially refundable based on the service provider’s (i.e. hotel) policy. 

- Cancellation by Buy Air Ticket Ltd.: In the unlikely event that we must cancel your tour due to unforeseen circumstances, we will offer a full refund or an alternative tour of equivalent value. 

3. Amendments and Changes

- Before Confirmation: Any changes to the booking, such as dates or accommodation, can be made without penalty, subject to availability.

- After Confirmation: Changes made after the deposit has been paid may incur additional charges depending on the nature of the request and availability. Date changes made within 30 days of the tour start date may be treated as a cancellation.

4. Travel Insurance

- Travel insurance is mandatory for all customers. Your policy should cover personal accidents, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, loss of luggage, and trip cancellation.

- Proof of insurance must be provided before the final payment is made.

5. Passport and Visa Requirements

- It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that they have a valid passport and any necessary visas for entry into the country. 

- The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of departure.

- Visa fees are not included in the tour package and must be arranged separately. Talk to our visa processing agent regarding visas for the country. 

6. Health and Safety 

- Customers are responsible for determining their fitness for travel and must inform Buy Air Ticket Ltd. of any medical conditions or special needs at the time of booking.

- We recommend consulting a healthcare provider for any necessary vaccinations or medical advice before traveling.

7. Accommodation

- Accommodation is provided as per the itinerary and based on twin-sharing. Single occupancy rooms may be available at an additional cost.

- Any requests for specific room types or facilities will be accommodated subject to availability.

8. Transportation

- All transfers, as specified in the itinerary, are included in the package. This includes airport transfers and any intercity travel mentioned in the tour plan.

- Transportation is provided on a private or shared basis depending on the group size and specific tour arrangements.

9. Tour Itinerary

- The tour itinerary is subject to change due to local conditions, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. We reserve the right to make alterations to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our customers.

- Any changes will be communicated to customers as soon as possible.

10. Liability and Responsibility

- Buy Air Ticket Ltd. acts as an intermediary between customers and service providers (hotels, transport, etc.). We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property in connection with the services provided by these suppliers.

- We are not responsible for any delays, cancellations, or disruptions caused by natural disasters, political instability, strikes, or other events beyond our control.

11. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

- Any complaints during the tour should be reported immediately to the tour operator to allow for timely resolution.

- In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved during the tour, a written complaint should be submitted to Buy Air Ticket Ltd. within 14 days of the tour’s conclusion. We will review and respond within 30 days.

12. Governing Law

- This policy and any disputes arising from it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh.

13. Acceptance of Terms 

- By booking a tour with Buy Air Ticket Ltd., you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this booking policy.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

- Bank Transfer: Payments can be made directly to our designated bank account in Bangladesh. Bank details will be provided at the time of booking.

- Credit/Debit Cards: We accept major credit and debit cards, including Visa and MasterCard. Please note that a 2.5% processing fee may apply to card payments.

- bKash: Payments via bKash are accepted for your convenience. Please ensure the transaction reference number is provided to us for confirmation.

- Other Payment Gateways: Additional online payment methods may be available. Please inquire with our team for more details.

3. Currency

- All payments must be made in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) or U.S. Dollars (USD) unless otherwise agreed upon. For international customers, currency conversion rates at the time of payment will apply.

4. Late Payments

- In some cases we accept payment instalments, in such case If the final payment is not received by the due date (30 days before the tour start date), Buy Air Ticket Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the booking. In such cases, the customer will forfeit the deposit and may be subject to additional cancellation fees as outlined in our cancellation policy. 

5. Payment Confirmation

- A payment confirmation receipt will be issued upon receiving your deposit payment. Please keep these receipts for your records.

- If you do not receive a payment confirmation within 24 hours of making a payment, please contact our customer service team immediately.

6. Bank Charges and Transaction Fees

- Any bank charges, credit card processing fees, or transaction fees associated with making payments are the responsibility of the customer. The full tour package price must be received by Buy Air Ticket Ltd. without any deductions.

7. Refunds

- Refunds are processed according to both our and the end service providers' cancellation policy. Please refer to the cancellation terms for details on eligible refunds and the timeframe in which they will be processed.

- Refunds will be issued in the same currency and payment method used for the original transaction. Please allow up to 14 business days for processing.

8. Discrepancies and Disputes 

- If there is any discrepancy or dispute regarding payments, please notify us within 7 days of the payment date. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.

- All disputes will be handled in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh, as stated in our governing law section.
